From the series of Parallel Universes of the Self

After completing his MSc in Business Administration, Alexander Sporre (1988) spent several years working at a Swiss multinational. However, the experience left him feeling unsatisfied and burnt out. It was at this point that Sporre decided to pursue his true passion: photography. In 2017, he successfully graduated in Art Photography from the Fotoacademie Amsterdam.

During his burnout, Alexander grappled with a sense of personal failure, a realization that proved pivotal in uncovering the essentially illusory nature of the self. Since then, his interest in philosophy and spirituality has continued to deepen. Sporre now captures people and everyday objects in his immediate surroundings, aiming to look beyond the facade of our perceived reality.
